Academic Assessment Report

Do you need an Academic Assessment Report?

I am a licensed teacher in the state of Ohio and hold a valid Ohio teaching certificate.  I taught public school from 2001-2013 and have been a homeschool educator since 2013.  My family and I currently attend co-op at Kingdom Builders of Northeast Cincinnati and I help teach and aide classes there.  I am also teaching ESL online.  I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum.

I love education, I love homeschooling, and I love for students (and their parents) to feel proud of all of their accomplishments!

I would be honored to review your child's work and offer you a written narrative.  A written narrative indicates "that a portfolio of samples of the child’s work has been reviewed and that the child’s academic progress for the year is in accordance with the child’s abilities."  What does this mean?  This is what it means for you and I:

1.  I will look at your child's academic progress.
2.  If the work is in accordance with the child's abilities, I will sign a form.

That's it!  It's simple.  So many parents stress over this step in their Homeschooling Journey.  There are many factors that stress us Homeschool Moms out- so please don't let this be one of them.

I can review your child's work IN MANY DIFFERENT WAYS!  It does not have to be a creative and organized binder of their work.  I will look at workbook pages, loose samples of work, pictures, videos, projects, etc.  We can meet in person or you can email, facetime, or mail me samples of your child's work.  I truly believe in you and the work and progress you and your child(ren) are accomplishing.  Contact me and we will come up with a stress-free, performance-free, and productive way for you to show me how your child is making progress in accordance with his/her abilities.

$20.00 per Academic Assessment Report

May God bless you and your family on your educational journey!

A.S.K

Ask, Seek, Knock (A.S.K)

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened."  Matthew 7:7-8

I desire for our family to continually a.s.k.

Ask God what he wants for our family and to be faithful and brave enough to hear from Him and to obey Him.

It's hard for me because I want to please everybody- which is impossible.  I want everybody to agree with me- which is impossible.  I want everybody to like me- which is impossible.

"The fight of faith for me is to blindfold myself to the crashing, wild, deadly waves that assault my senses each day.  To refuse to fix my gaze on all that is unanswered and unclear in this messy sea of life and to fix my soul's gaze on the face of Jesus."- Kari Patterson

Yes, we want to home school.
Yes, we know it is different.
Yes, we know it will be hard.
Yes, we know not everybody will agree.
Yes, we want to home school anyway!
